Meaning of khud-kasht land

It means the land which was used by the Zamindars for cultivation. No doubt he can take the help of the family members or the servants.
According to section 3(9) of the UP Tenancy ‘khud-kasht’means land other than ‘Sir’ cultivated by Zamindar either by himself or by servants or by hired labours.
In Ram Dayal V. Misri Lal 1972 A.W.R. 232
the Allahabad High Court held that mere omission to one year will not deprive Zamindar of his khudkasht rights.
